Thermo TDR Probe
Thermo TDR Probe
Conventional methods for measuring the concentration of contaminants in soil were only possible under specific soil moisture conditions. However, the development of this probe has made it possible to measure the temporal changes in contaminant concentrations in soil where moisture levels fluctuate due to rainfall and evapotranspiration. Technical Overview: This technology focuses on the changes in the soil's relative permittivity, volumetric heat capacity, and electrical conductivity when organic solvents are mixed into moist soil. It estimates the concentration of organic solvents in the soil based on the volumetric water content derived from relative permittivity and volumetric heat capacity, as well as the electrical conductivity measured by TDR.
